Empty Space Projects

EXHIBIT is a gallery space of 2 halves: Upper ground floor provides a character space filled with daylight from which a tiny original 50’s staircase leads visitors down to the basement gallery providing a modest yet intense high ceiling exhibition space in the emerging Clerkenwell of the City area.

Although it is one of the smallest gallery space in UK, It quickly established itself as a renowned platform called “Empty Space Projects” for young emerging artists and designers to explore an extreme opposite experience as opposed to conventional “white gallery” space. By invitation, the artists and designers are provided with total freedom with the intimate space to present a single important work or a coherent body of space-specific installation within a focused environment. Each project is conceived as collaboration with EXHIBIT who works closely with the artists and contributes professional lighting ambience for the exhibition. This results in a diverse programme of celebrated shows of contemporary art in a variety of media, and becoming a laboratory for new ideas and concept to bread.
