Eleanor Bolton is a British jewellery designer based in the east end of London. Having graduated from Sir John Cass Department of Art, Media and Design London Metropolitan University in June 2007, she has already been awarded the Goldsmiths Precious Metal Bursary where the judges commented on her sensitivity of design and HS Walsh Award for Innovative Use of Materials.
Inspired by the personalities of the existing objects along with fairytales, stories such as Alice in Wonderland, and English eccentricities, Eleanor’s work is playful, humorous and somewhat surreal. The collection sees spoons turned into gold/silver-plated necklaces, ornate teacups into lockets and handles made into chain. The statement pieces are not for the shy! The work is created to be at home on the decadent kitchen or dressing table of dreams where everything is there to be touched and experienced, not under glass like traditional jewellery.
Each work is unique, and made to commission.
