The title “La Jeunesse”, translates as ‘the youth’ in French, has always inspired Benedict. Born in Hong Kong in the 70’s, Bendict is fascinated by how the imagery and story of the youth is portrayed and evolved over the decades.
All La Jeunesse notebooks and stationary are hand made with Leung’s precious vintage machinery. Benedict truly believes in preserving and continuing the strand of traditional making in his production, one could deserve the finest and appreciate the old good favourite. It is a lengthy process and one that takes tender patience. Each one of them is lovingly hand cut and printed, which means literally fine adjusting the machine and amending each print every single time for each single production.
All illustrations re-produced for the range are authentic, found in the 50’s era. Benedict sees them as songs unsung and stories untold from the past. Often feature school kids and young children, each one of these stationary is an unique object of nostalgia for the grown-up to celebrate our youth, that once we were innocent and carefree.
All products are 100% hand made with recycled paper/board and subject to limited quantity for each production.
