Michi Suzuki

Born in Japan and currently based in London, Suzuki studied ceramics at the University of Westminster, Harrow and is recently graduated at the Royal College of Art in 2007. Suzuki is preoccupied with the immortalization of ephemerality, of phases of living organisms resembling human feelings and experiences. Her fascination with forms and patterns in natural objects, in botanic life in particular, is the shear force to inform her ceramic creations and pen drawings. Suzuki’s three dimensional installation as outcome is generated from these drawings with delicate and repetitive patterns that provoke viewers memories associated with individual experiences.
Suzuki’s current creation, Proliferation, is a collaborative assembly with Ikuko Iwamoto’s porcelain of over 100 intricate mix of naked and glazed ceramics into a profound pattern, saintly illuminated by 3 porcelain light as part of Iwamoto’s contribution.

The installation is exclusively made for EXHIBIT and sale by commission. For more details, please contact info@exhibit-goldenlane.com.
