New Year, New collaboration

The plan for the New Year 2008 at EXHIBIT is to expand the studio space and initiate design projects with other collaborators. One of our recent projects is to work with furniture ‘sculptor’ Peter Marigold to design and build a unique piece for EXHIBIT as a division between the studio and the exhibition space, and at the same time functions as a display for design objects for sale. We met Peter while he was studying Product Design at the Royal College of Art,  where he graduated in 2006. One of his graduation works was called ‘Make /Shift’,  a shelving system that expands and contracts to fill different sized gaps. Since then, Peter has been commissioned by others such as Paul Smith, Libby Seller to name but a few.

One of his recent works was a bespoke system for our good friend, STBY, in their Amsterdam home-office. It’s a very beautiful piece of work and we all love it, for sure the owners enjoy using and watching it. We are very excited for the new piece that Peter is designing for us.
