Our member, Pamela Prado, is graduating with other thirteen curators at the Royal College of Art (RCA). Their final year collective project is this group exhibition. Sounds fantastic and align the provoking attitude of EXHIBIT. Friends of the Divided Mind is an exhibition that addresses the organisations that support contemporary art. The show is divided into four projects that consider potentialities for the future of exhibition histories, artist-run spaces, performative and durational practices, and financially independent art spaces, initiated by a strong desire for alternatives. The traditional methodology of consensual decision-making applied to the MA Curating Contemporary Art annual exhibition is subverted in favor of an engaged and agonistic participation on behalf of the thirteen curators. This is reflected in the splitting up of inquiries, working groups and resources, in support of a shared undertaking. OFFICE OF REAL TIME ACTIVITY is an experimental institution, which exists for the duration of the exhibition and focuses on dialogue, debate and public participation. It aims to question the notion of time within an art organisation, through a programme of performances, discussions and sound works.Contributors: Dora Garcia, Jacob Kirkegaard, Jon Wozencroft, Thomson & Craighead, Juliette Blightman, Ruth Buchanan & Andreas Müller, Celine Condorelli & Gavin Wade, Simon Fujiwara, Celia Pym, Mandla Reuter.Organized by Sepake Angiama, Harriet Godwin, Pamela Prado and Lisa Schmidt.
