4 th June 2009

The first ever tour to the roof top garden at the Great Arthur House on the Golden Lane Estate after over 20 years of its closure.

This space was designed as a public garden for all the residents from the estate to enjoy the view of their neighbour. However, rules changed over the year and now this amazing garden was closed to public since the 80’s. Safety and privacy are the main elements to stop all visits. After long negotiation, finally, it was re-opened for residents for an one-night visit event. It was organised by resident, Paul Lincoln in coordination with Corporation of London and estate office, as well as help from a number of residents and EXHIBIT gallery with artists as steward.

It was a fantastic event with over 50 residents and friends had gone up the garden to enjoy the view. Everyone is looking forward to have more opportunities to visit this great architecture in the sky again.
